Memorial Day.
Today we honor our fallen.
Yesterday, we were in Knoxville, Tennessee, visiting some old friends who had just moved there. We went to church with them at St. John’s Cathedral in downtown.
The cathedral was probably built sometime around 1900. It’s a kind of magnificent building. Like many churches of its vintage, it has beautiful stained glass windows, as well as memorials to deceased parishioners.
This one caught my eye.
