Claims of Sexual Assault and Improper Cancer Treatment Against Dr. Attique Samdani, a Richmond Oncologist

Richmond oncologist Attique Samdani had his medical license revoked for up to three years after the Virginia Board of Medicine found he made inappropriate sexual comments and touched a woman against her will while acting as her mentor. Although three sexual assault allegations have been reported to police, no criminal charges have been filed due to the statute of limitations or victims choosing not to pursue a case.

Our firm has recently been contacted by multiple individuals who report a similar pattern of potentially inappropriate medical treatment under Dr. Samdani’s care. Each person states they were diagnosed with the same specific type of cancer and underwent extended chemotherapy, only to later learn they did not have cancer at all. While we cannot speak to the motive behind these reported actions, one possible concern raised is whether the treatments were used to improperly bill insurance. These accounts appear consistent with one another, and our firm is continuing to evaluate the information provided by those who believe they may have been wrongfully treated.

Rawls Law Group is actively gathering information from patients who have concerns about their past diagnoses or treatments while under the care of Dr. Samdani. Our investigation is ongoing as we work to fully understand and verify the allegations that have been reported. If you suspect you may have been affected, contact us at 804-344-0038.
