Hunter Barsness has been a part of Rawls Law Group since 2024, starting as an intake specialist
while finishing his final year at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). In 2025, he
graduated from VCU, majoring in political science with a concentration in public administration
and public policy. During college, much of his studies pertained to administrative and
constitutional law research, having conducted independent research with faculty and having
presented his research at several conferences. In addition to legal research, Hunter also served as
an editor for the Undergraduate Political Science Research Journal at VCU.
After graduating from VCU in 2025, Hunter’s role at Rawls Law Group transitioned away from
intake and into a paralegal and marketing role for the firm. Since taking on the new roles within
the firm, Hunter has deepened his understanding of medical malpractice claims and the needs of
our clients at the state and national levels.
Outside of work, Hunter enjoys playing soccer, running, and reading. In the fall, he also loves
watching the Minnesota Vikings, his favorite NFL team… regardless of the perpetual
heartbreaking losses the team may bring.
